The Brogues 1965


The Brogues hailed from Merced, CA and featured future Quicksilver Messenger Service drummer Greg Elmore (second from right) and Gary Duncan (aka Gary Grubb far right.) The Brogues issued two lethal 45's then split. The group also featured Rick Campbell-guitar, vocals, Eddie Rodrigues-guitar, vocals and Bill Whittington-bass guitar.

The Other Half-The Other Half (Acta 1965)


The Other Half were an excellent Los Angeles group that featured ex-Sons Of Adam guitarist Randy Holden. The group later moved to San Francisco and recorded several great 45's for the Acta & GNP labels and also a superb 1968 LP for Acta. They can be seen performing in the 1967 pilot episode The Teeth Of The Barracuda for right on cop TV show The Mod Squad.
